Hellllpppp Meeee !!!!! =(?

she says the money isnt important its about the safety
Hi. Next year I am graduating from high school and our school is taking us to MONTREAL!!!
I'm not sure for how many days but probably for 3 nights and 4 days. It's a bit pricey but it does include, the food, the hotel, the activities that we will be doing and many more !!! Almost everyone is going but my mom wont let me go. She says it's not safe after I specifically told her that our school will be taking us. It says on the permission form , that they are not responsible for anything. This is one of her reasons. The trip is $ 500 but it is worth it because it is a last memory for our high school year and it's a once in a lifetime chance. It's also great for spending time with your friends and teachers.
But unfortunately...
I'm probably not going...
I cry to myself once in a while...
I realllly want to
HELP ME !!! PLEASE
she says NOTHING can change her mind

Well I doubt this will help you in one way but in another it will *S*
My daughter went on the same trip years ago. Well they ended up eating something that made them all sick. Well the teachers that went God bless them stayed up ALL NIGHT LONG with the kids, taking care of them, allowing them to call home etc
They brought them back slightly earlier than they were due home and my daughter praised the teachers for the way they cared for them all.
My daughters school also allowed parents to go on the trip if they wished, so that's an idea too. Or maybe you have an Aunt or something that you could bring along. It's worth a try. All I know is they all had fun till they got sick.
Good Luck

I didn't go on my senior trip either. I found out that a guy got drunk and fell out of a hotel window and was hurt. Things got wild. It sounds like a nice trip. Can you get a job so you can pay for the trip and will you be 18 by the time you graduate? I do not think you would need parent permission form then. Good Luck

Your Mom won't let you go on a senior trip? That is unreasonable! $500 isn't a lot of money. You can save money to go. She says it is unsafe? Ok I think this is just an excuse of either not having the money or trying to control you. Canada is just as safe as anywhere else and it will be a good experience for you to go! Just save your money and go. Ask for money for gas, birthdays etc... and save it all, even ask your grandparents for help, they will help you!!!! Good Luck!

Save up your own money. Once you do this talk to your mom and tell her how hard you have worked at saving up your money. Do you have any close friends that are going? if so see if you can get their parents to speak to your mom. I do agree with you that this trip would be very fun and important. I hope you can go!

Ask if you earn all the money yourself and make agreements to take a phone card (do it!!!), would she at least think about it.
It is possible that the cost worries her but I don't know her so just a guess.
Show her how responsible you are and she might see this and be "okay". Work for what you want if you want it that bad, okay?

i understand your mom's concerns and to a degree they are somewhat valid. montreal is not a hotbed of terrorist activity, and i am certain that you group will be well supervised while there. i suggest having one of your teachers contact your mom, they can reassure her that all will be well on the trip and that you will be safe. hopefully another adult's opinion will help her change her mind. don't cry quite yet, it isn't over and you may still well be able to go.
