Don't know about the rest of you, but these sequence of statements surprised me greatly. I would think that this would upset most anyone who supports the Democratic Party. Isn't this the party that has preached negotiations with the Taliban and Al-Qaida almost to a fault? Isn't this the party that called the Iraq invasion unjust? I'm just totally flabbergasted by what Obama said. What say you?

GOPBliss - false. Apparently you do not remember the cat/mouse game Saddam played with the international community regarding his nuclear weapons program. He WANTED people to believe he had them, and did a very good job of it. This became Saddam's downfall.. cause not only was he violating the terms of the cease-fire after GulfWar1 by doing this, we could not allow any nuclear material to end up in his hands. He had already used WMD's 10 times that we know of..

Many are somewhat dedicated no longer all anti-christian easily everyone seems to be democrats the subject as I see it is that there are 2 great and vocal communities , Republicans and Christian Evangelicals, that have a tendency to be lumped into the comparable basket. Many non-christians, liberal protestant christians, liberal catholics, secular humanists, and atheists, have become so indignant that evangelicals talk as though they have the only connection to god, and that their political positions are the only mind-blowing and pious positions, that they have got a tendency to react harshly of their words. on condition that the Republican social gathering has replace into so heavily tied to those evangelical communities those comparable non-christian etc. experience that they have got not have been given any selection yet to be a democrat on condition that they experience that there is not any room on the republican table with the intention to talk. consequently you will get people who take place to be democrats attack extremely conservative christians. I say that I am proud of him. The problem with you conservatives are that you take our kindness for a weakness. Of couse we would prefer to settle things peacefully but we will kick *** when all else fails.Go Obama!

true, some wars are necessary.
but a vast majority of wars are wasteful.
It was necessary for us to invade Afghanistan back in 2001......
but we can't stay there forever. not at the rate it's costing us.
We can stay in Europe and Japan forever because troops are not dying on a regular basis there.
