"It's the economy, stupid" was a phrase from 1992 American politics. Is it time we use the phrase on Obama?

Polls are now 2 to 1 against Obamacare. Obama and congress have spent 6 months working on it when they should have been focused on the economy.

No it is not necessary to use the phrase "It's the economy, stupid" on Obama. Obama is well aware of the American public's preoccupation with jobs and the economy. I read a statement that Obama made about two or three months ago in September or October when Afghanistan and the Afghanistan election were in the news. The statement clearly demonstrated that Obama understands that the American public is most of all concerned about their jobs and the economy.

This is the statement Obama made, as I recall it:

"The American people are more concerned about their jobs and the economy, than what is going on in Afghanistan."

It is important to understand that it is important for Obama that the American people stay focused on the economy, and how long it is taking to improve. Indeed if economy improves too much the American people mays start thinking about other issues such as election fraud, imperialism, the U.S. Constitution and the separation of powers, the role of the public in forming public policy, our national debt, and how we lessen it, and how we can implement new programs and policies to help make a better world for all concerned. It is important therefore that the economy slowly recover because nobody will be paying attention to what Obama is doing, and exercising powers beyond his authority as President, when the economy finally recovers, Obama will have accomplished his agenda, and it will be a completed fact.

"It's the Republicans, stupid" is what the answer would be. They've done everything they could, including lying to the American public, in order to please their corporate masters and block anything that Obama does. Look at Congressional Republican polls - they're the lowest they've ever been, and a lot of people are blaming Republicans for the delay. But you won't hear that from Mitch "the Cryptkeeper" McConnell. They're hiding that fact - they want people to believe the GOP is protecting them. LOL.

The biggest reason that people are against it is that there's been too much attention paid to it, and not enough to the economy. They want Obama to stand up to the Repugnicon wonks and get something done.

The fact of the matter is, the economy is showing signs that things may be looking up. What else do you want him to do? When he spent money to stimulate the economy people b*****d. It doesn't matter what he does, he's going to get criticized. I suspect you want Obama to wave a magic wand over the free market you so know and love, but it doesn' work.

Tell the bankers, (who did so much to put the USA and the rest of the world into this mess) to put that bailout money they got, and to put it to good use by loosening up the credit pursestrings so that businesses can reinvest and put some people back to work, rather than lining ther pockets with YOUR money.

The bubble that burst took a lot more than six months or a year to grow, it's not going to grow back overnight.

"It's the economy, stupid," was a Clinton campaign mantra. The Democrats are not about to use something of theirs against their own. It would be a sign of weakness...

Of course lying and saying the President never said he wanted to negotiate with Al Qaeda when he clearly said it with his own mouth won't work either, now that he's done a direct about-face on it in today's speech won't work either, but that doesn't mean they're not trying it.

If only he cared and his fanatics were paying attention to anything besides Tiger Woods and Amanda Knox. He has created a fanbase of the most ignorant, narrow-minded, pretentious and vile voters.
