How do you take a video of the whole screen?

If you want to make videos of your TV or computer screen you should probably look at a device called a Pinnacle Dazzle. Its what I use to make my youtube videos. Works real well and costs about 40-50 dollars at best buy or online. Hope it works.

I don't know if there is a mac version of it but you should use Fraps if there is.
