Do those who support abortion rights count themselves lucky to have made it out of the womb alive?

Don't they realize if their parents had aborted them, they wouldn't be here?

If they support abortion rights, they don't think about that. Abortion and suicide are primarily selfish acts. The person who makes these choices only thinks about the inconvenience to her future that her own actions have trapped her in. Why would "would I be alive to make this choice if my mother had aborted me?" enter into her mind?

Your question presupposed that most women would choose abortion so the living would be merely lucky. Yet abortion is legal and most women (an overwhelming majority in fact) do not choose abortion, so we have ample evidence to assume there is no luck involved. I'm not taking a position here; you are entitled to your beliefs. However, if you have a point to make, you should consider not using child-like logic to do it. It does not benefit or further your cause in any way.

Of course we know that. IF any of us had been aborted...we would not know it. Projection is a main reason so many people are pro-life. They whine, what if my mommy had aborted me? Well, you would have not been born nor would you realize that. IF you parents hadn't had sex when they did, you would not have been born.

Choice: Have and keep the baby, have and put the baby up for adoption or have a first trimester abortion. Most women CHOOSE to have their babies. I did, twice.

Point seen now consider the problem with library fines for things about over population. Perhaps if all political books brought out and kept in public forum things change. Student I.D.s also discourage such measures.

So, what is your point? If we never were, then we wouldn't have anything to miss.

Do you believe your 13 year old sister should carry my baby?

What if she were raped by her uncle. Would that be a private family matter and she would carry it full term? Or, perhaps her survival is in definite peril if she caries full-term.

We do not live in an absolute yes/no type of world. If you are Christian, you believe God gave us an ability to think and decide... right?

Yes, but the difference is that my mother WANTED to have me. She is pro-choice, and she chose to have the baby.

And how would I know, anyway? I didn't exist for a long time before I was born, and it didn't bother me at all.

This is an old and lame argument.

Being pro choice doesn't mean you don't want children. My mom was pro-choice and had 5 kids.

Lucky to be alive? it is what it is. If I hadn't been born there would be no "me" to regret it.

Until this prefrontal cortex was wired to allow for awareness, there was no "me", just a lump of flesh with potential.

Mostly, we just understand what the word "choice" means.

    I wouldn't mind.

I've been dead for billions of years before I was born, and it didn't inconvenience me one bit.
