Quinton Rampage Jackson?
Anybody find it a little odd that he quit the UFC in order to pursue his movie career, yet he decided to return to the organization AFTER the fight with Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva was set up? Hmmm.. sounds like he was ducking out of the fight with Rashad.

If Rampage was ducking anybody it was Machida. The title fight was his after he beat Jardine, but instead wanted to fight Suga Rashad.

I doubt it. Rampage has lost other fights and has fought some of the best. Maybe he wanted to pursue other opportunites well they are here. The guy was involved in a freaken police chase and I think seriously injuried someone during it. Maybe he's a little unpredictable or making a poor judgement.
When you got some fame and some money, he wouldn't be the first to think he's bigger than he really is. Maybe he also has a beef with the UFC. I know he had some hard feelings.

I think it had nothing to do with Evans, the two were going to end up fighting sooner or later regardless of TUF, and they clearly don't like one another. I think he found out that he can't act, and that there aren't a lot of big money opportunities for him on screen.
