If a decade of flat temperatures is statistically insignificant, Why do we need to act "right now!"?
Some people evidently need to look up the definition of flat.

Who here knows how long the solar minimum will continue? Who here knows what controls when the next ice age will commence? What controls when an ice age will end? Any takers on those questions? Science here is misinterpreting and misunderstanding the data staring them in the face, that is my contention in all of this. They wish all of us to panic about the seashores becoming flooded and going under water. They refuse to consider the possibility that this planet will self-correct its albedo via an ice age. All of the geological cycles are already in place along with the nutrient cycles for this to occur.

This has been the hottest decade ever recorded. The reason temperatures have not increased more are first the La Nina and then the solar minimum, both temporary cooling events. The real news is that the earth did not cool during a decade a natural cooling events.

Say has the correct facts. The date the recording started was 1850. 2000 to 2009 was the hottest decade in the time from 1850 till 2009. Instead of the Head n the Sand People slinging accusations around, why don't they ever use stats or facts? Of course it would be better if these facts were supported by a group with the knowledge of NASA or a equivalent group instead of Butterball Scientist Inc.

Even if the last decade or so were flat rather than the hottest recorded, it would take time to reverse the trends. Greenhouse gasses don't disappear as soon as we stop generating them. It could take half a century to repair the damage. Think of a juggernaut rolling downhill; it doesn't stop immediately when you pull back on it.

Because it is not just about global warming and they are afraid of time running out. It is about the "immortality" of humans impeding on nature. You keep hearing over and over again from people here. They keep saying "Even if global warming is not true, it does not give us a right to pollute the earth".

The reason to act now is they want your carbon credits Al Gore is in Poverty with
100 million and is a greedy leech. The world cooled down in 1998 . 2009 is a cool year.
It is all a lie.

Because the longer we wait, the more obvious it is the Earth's temperature isn't dramatically rising.

8 of the hottest 10 years on record occurred this decade, and that's not including 2009 which will probably make the top 5.
Case closed.
