My computer and my monitor wont read each other or something?
I had just finished installing dungeons and dragons online and went to login. Then all of a sudden my screen did like this colorfull static thing with the background image of the game and everything powerd down like instantly then when i went to boot it up the light on my tower stopped working and it was like it had died then after unplugging everything the light turned on but none of my monitors will work all the sudden. They turn on its like it isnt connected to my computer but i know it is. Does anyone know what might have happened and if there is a way to fix this problem.
Alright thanks im gonna go try that, only problem is my screen is pitch black i dont see anything i turn it on but it just goes into what i assume is a sleep mode and doesnt react to any thing like shaking the mouse or pressing a key or so it seems but im gonna power it on and just keep hitting F8 and see if anything happens. Also when i downloaded dungeons and dragons i did download the high resolution one the internet recommended a lower download but i figured my cpu could handle it. could a game have caused this?
Sorry yeah i was refering to the power light on my computer. Im doing this from a second desktop i have in my room lol. I already tried plugging in another monitor and nothing.
I tried most of it except the whole changing my video card and none of it worked. is there anything else?

Sounds like bad video card, since it was sudden. Maybe a bad video driver. Could be a toasted monitor too, considering the last part.
Need more testing, more information. Like what is the "light on your tower"? The power light, the Hard Drive light? Try a different monitor, try a different video card/on-board video. I'm guessing you are accessing Yahoo Answers on a laptop or something, hook up the monitor to the VGA out port and restart. If the laptop picture comes up, and the VGA port is active that rules out the monitor.

You likely have had the resolution or refresh rate on the graphics card switched to an unsupported rate.
Boot into Safe Mode and see if the monitors work. Then while there, reset them to the lowest resolution listed. Reboot into normal windows and then set the monitors/ graphics to the highest SUPPORTED settings.
Safe mode - reboot and hit F8 once every second until the boot menu loads. Select safe mode with networking and wait for it to load. Takes a long time and looks very different from normal windows. This is for repair and diagnostics, not for normal computing.

nicely in spite of out annoying drives and cd drives the video would desire to nonetheless come on at bios submit while its first became on. a million. make useful the memory and processor is seated real. 2.
