When is Kanye going to forget about the Taylor Swift incident and get back to music?
I was just wondering... because kanye doesn't have a twitter account or anything.
It just seems like kanye's taking it really hard, what with like half of america calling him a disgrace.
I know Taylor Swift is only 19 blah blah blah.... But Kanye's always been known for keepin it real, so when he said "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time" he was literally keepin it real. The video for Beyonce's "single ladies" created a craze all over the web where thousands of people posted original versions of the dance in a matter of weeks. The director of the video also won 2 awards. But most importantly, me like almost every other person in Britain didn't even know who taylor was before the show, Kanye's "disgraceful act" caused Taylor's publicity to grow any larger than she could wish for. Plus it made great tv and it didn't end up being another normal award show. So I don't see what the freakin big deal is!
Anyway I noticed kanye hasn't involved himself in music since the incident. So when's kanye gonna get back on his grind and make them bangers again? I think people have dragged the incident out for too long now and I hope he doesn't do anything drastic like quit rapping. After all he is mtv's voted top 3 best rappers for the past 3 years and at the end of the day:
Kanye West = mtv music
Taylor Swift = Disney channel music

I beg to disagree! Yes, Beyonce's video was pretty good, but I wouldn't say it totally deserved the Best Female video. "You Belong With Me" was huge on pop radio, just like "Love Story" was, and Taylor Swift was originally country (not Disney, as you claim,) which MTV would never play beforehand. (Hell, they never even played Shania Twain or Faith Hill or Dixie Chicks when they went pop, that was VH1.) Taylor took this by surprise, and I'd say she earned this well.
Plus, let's not forget that Katy Perry, P!NK and Lady Gaga were also nominated for Best Female video, If Kanye did that to either of them, they would've whooped his *** all the way to Japan by way of the Atlantic! Taylor was vulnerable and just starting out in pop, as he saw it, so he knew who to target. P!NK said on her Twitter that Kanye was "a piece of s***" and I believe her. I don't know which single and album did it for him, but Kanye is such a bloody egomaniac. Maybe it was his mother's death that put him over the edge; in this case, he needs extensive grief counselling.
And while I don't necessarily agree with these people, there are those who say Beyonce's videos suck. When I took this to a private soap opera blog in which I post, one of my fellow posters chimed in to criticize the "Single Ladies" video, as it was basically boring. It is nothing more than Beyonce dancing around with two other girls in leotards in a white backdrop. Though Beyonce looked hot, it was nothing all that special, except for the robot hand. I think the only reason why the video won Best Video of the Year was because it was such a good dance hit. Still, I admire Beyonce for allowing Taylor to finish her speech when she won this particular award. Very classy of her.
Sorry, but I hope Kanye stays away from music for a bloody long time. I will especially no longer support his career after this incident. I did not have Kanye West on my iTunes or player before this, but if I did, you better believe I'd delete all his tracks. He had no business doing what he did to Taylor.

People are making it a much bigger deal than it is. Yes, it was shocking. No, it wasn't right, but Kanye was telling the truth. Single Ladies was one of the best videos of the year. It was everywhere. Taylor Swifts video wasn't special in anyway. Everyone needs to get over it. It happened, it's over, move on.

your definitely siding with kanye it seems. although taylor swifts popularity and publicity did increase after the vma's incident she was still pretty well known before so you got that a bit wrong.
also taylor swift is not a disney channel star at all she made her way into the music industry without the use of disney, she is just friends with many of the stars.
i think kanye west and taylor swift are both really talented in different ways so i'm not taking a side.
i also think that they are both using the vma incident to their advantage because they are both gaining publicity from it. i don't think kanye west has given up at all im sure he will be back with some new music soon :)

I agree with Kanye 100%. Beyonce deserved that award in a heart beat. So many fans were making videos, it was such a huge sensation. Honestly that song You Belong With Me or whatever, i don't even know if that's the title, is a rip off of Saving Jane's Girl Next Door.
"She's Cheer Captain and i'm on the bleachers" Taylor Swift
"She's a cheerleader, i'm sitting in the stands" Saving Jane
What a rip off. She can't sing, her songs are for tweens who want to fall in love, and they're utter crap. That's such a rip off of the original lyrics, the first time i heard it i thought it sounded just like Girl Next Door only words were twisted a bit and it was made for 7 year olds.
I don't agree with where Kanye spoke out about his opinon. That was rude. But now i'm not as upset or bothered, Taylor has been given so many awards she doesn't even deserve. She should be bowing down to Kanye and thanking him. 8 Grammy nominations? You've got to be kidding me!
Kanye's a grown man and he'll get back to music after he gets his head straight. Like i said, Taylor should be thanking his *** for doing what he did. Without it she wouldn't have gotten those awards that she didn't even deserve to recieve. So that's my opinion. He should get back to his music and i think people should get over it. It's Kanye, what did you expect? And honestly i think he was speaking for millions of people around the world. Taylor didn't deserve it, bottom line. A song that's a rip off of an older one sung by a nobody or a dance sensation that traveled around the world and everybody knew...which one would be your choice?
So yeah Kanye should come back. This really needs to be laid to rest and everybody has to go on with their lives.

Taylor sucks. But that doesn't mean someone should ruin her moment. He really should get over it cuz it already happend and theres nothing he can do to take it back. Although.....Beyonce could've done something at the awards to stop this madness.
