if you were a slave, what would your feelings be towards your slaves?

Imagine you are a slave trader. What are your feelings towards your slaves? Would you regard them as people, or property, or both? How would you justify feelings this way about your slavess?

Well first off,I don't condone slavery. That said I also realize it has been going on since the world began.I also don't dwell on the past very much either.Coming from the Caribbean I realize many of my ancestors were slaves but I don't dwell on it cause that is the past and really there isn't anything I can do about it.In fact till I immigrated to the United States I rarely even heard talk about it. I think perhaps it is an American thing since you had a civil war and everything about it.AS FOR the feelings of the slave trader do you mean the black one that first kidnapped and took them away from their homes or the arabs or whites that took them far,far away?I believe probably their feelings was like you raising old betsy since a calf and finally leading her for ever away down the road to the market to be butchered.Except where she was butchered and ate,the slave was still alive.Old Bess never did anything to you except give you milk and butter all those years. Then when she grew too old to give milk any more you got rid of her to buy a new calf. Now I know all of the slavery business may be breaking your heart but mankind will always do whatever they have to do to survive. And on that note I rather be a slave than old Bess, cause I may escape or be granted freedom later.

I'd choose not to be a slave trader
