Manny Pac is a false idol that is worshipped by his countrymen. If Floyd does to Manny what I think he's going to do, I'm thinking that there may be mass hysteria and suicides across the Philipines. As far as Floyd criticism, a lot of it is the result of a person's own shortcomings, and the Floyd hate is a way of compensating/displacing. It's very psychological in nature. An angry child slams the door to his bedroom as a way of compensating for his feelings of powerless towards his parents. The hatred of Floyd is based on a lot of things. From the misguided stereotypes of the perceived black alpha male to the insecurity he makes Pacquio fans feel about their false idol. Floyd is very threatening to small people. Those small people, seek to recruit others in the hopes of reassuring themselves. The more a person hates Floyd, the more insecure that person. Remember Shane Mosley interrupting Floyd's interview? He wouldn't have done it without Bernard Hopkin's barking along with him. A secure person would have asked Hopkin's to quiet down, and then congratulated Floyd. There wouldn't have been a need to beg for a match, Mosley's behavior could have said enough by being calm and respectful. But he barked like that brave chuihuahua safely behind a fence, trying to pick a fight with a doberman.

I think Manny is one of the all-time greats, no question. But even if I have Manny no.1 lb for lb, I still know that Floyd is no. 2. I think Floyd dodged a couple of fighters, but maybe he really felt like he wanted to retire at that time. Pacquiao wasn't at 140 or 147 when Floyd left, but he could have fought Mosley, Cotto, or Margarito. They ended up all fighting each other, and these are awesome fighters. Floyd is great, but he hasn't proved a whole lot in the 147 lb division yet. His biggest victory in 147 is against Zab Judah, but several years ago, Zab was a major contender, and Mosley was challenging for light-middleweight against Winky Wright. I think Floyd took the Hatton fight because Hatton was undefeated, and a huge star in England, so I think Floyd made more in that fight than he would have made against Cotto, Mosley, or Margarito. Hatton was not, however, as much a threat to Floyd as those other 3. We eventually saw Margarito get beat, but that's the main guy that I think Floyd didn't want to mix with. Manny has never said he's the best, and I know there are welterweights that he can't fight because Manny isn't a true welter. Floyd is a welterweight now, but he doesn't seem willing to fight anyone at that weight. Manny would fight anyone at 135 or 140, I know for sure. I think that has something to do with why some people don't like Floyd; Remember when Ray Leonard came back in 1987 after a 3 year retirement? He came back and moved up in weight to fight Hagler. Floyd came back after a 21 month layoff to fight a guy 2 classes smaller. That's not quite the same. Why didn't Floyd fight Shane? The answer is simple to me: He could possibly have lost to Shane and thus spoiled a possible fight with Manny. Floyd knows that his undefeated record will fuel the $$ for the Pacquiao fight. Everyone wants to see if Manny can beat an undefeated Floyd. Pure boxing fans like me want to see the best fights in boxing, and I think we missed one since Floyd didn't fight Shane. I don't hate Floyd for it, but others do. I think Floyd would prove more by beating Mosley than if he does beat Pacquiao. But the general public wants Pac-Floyd, and he knew that when he returned to boxing. Floyd said when he came back that he wants to take back what's his, and right now that means beating Manny Pacquiao. Floyd isn't stupid.

Hey dude let me ask you this clear Question!

Are you being OBJECTIVE on your question???

I mean come on, not all Pac-fans are like that. You can not just generalize Pac-fans in that way. You see, that's is the reality. There are fans of Manny who are categorically absurd in the way the express their love to manny, but there are MANY who are Pac-fans and at the same time GENUINE boxing fans. The thing is why are you so bothered by these non-sense the fact you know these isolated case of Pac-fan morons can not affect the boxing World. Maybe you are ALSO a PAC-HATER that's why you are hurting on how haters hit their alikes.

    And to you Mr. Elmer!

It is also Crystal Clear that the Question is about the isolated case of Pac-absurd-too much-fans, then why are you hitting towards to Filipinos!!! please stop saying that Filipinos are worshipping Manny, it is only a HIGH APPRECIATION on a man who conquered the world through boxing, first from asia and now first in the world.

And why are you turning you freakin reasoning on the thing about the stereotypes of the perceived black alpha male? It is so pathetic that in just plain boxing you are pointing this race issue. Is it easy for you to talk about Race issue, well be sensitive man! This is not the right place for you to include that in the forum! I think you are the living manifestation if a LOSER! You are so stiff that even in the rich chat of bixnign forum you are including the things that may hurt nationalities. The reason why you are a top contributor is because you have no things to do in ur freakin life! No work, no job, no social activities an so on, just sitting in front of your PC answering questions the way a false prophet teach to deceive!

First off, don't say "fanS" (plural) when all you have is one example of that type of fan. And no, your video does not make perfect sense, it actually doesn't even contain common sense. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao know they have fans and non-fans. Fans cheer for them and praise them, non-fans don't want them to win and some will criticize...duh!! It's common sense! What are you talking about when you say, "what [mayweather] has to deal with"? Mayweather knows he has non-fans who don't like him and most likely doesn't even know who the phuck Elijah is, retard! Or you as a fan for that matter.

Second, whoever made that youtube video is an idiot (look in the comments, apparently you're the only fan of this guy). 3 second snippet of an interviewee saying 4-5 words followed by 3 pages of interpretation...wtf, horrible nonsense! Not all fans are as idiotic as the Elijah guy, the guy who made the vid, and YOU!

Third, in response to your gay azz video....even black people think pacquiao will win.

    GO PACQUIAO!

Am a Filipino but i have been at the receiving ends of brickbats from Pacquiao fans, particularly the Johnny-come-lately type who only get interested in boxing when Pacman started to attain rock star status back home. Am not really for Floyd, per se but as an open-minded boxing student, it is my belief that victory for my compatriot would be hard to come by due to many reasons, chiefly this being his first fight against an Afro-American, and not just an average Afro-American but an outstanding Afro-American with outstanding amateur background and an impeccable pro record. Another reason is that i believe that Pacman has yet to face somebody of Floyd's style and calibre while Floyd has already met and beaten fighters approximating Pacman's style, calibre and intensity ( read Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir ). I don't believe that one's nationality should prevail in one's choice of boxer in view of the fact that boxing is an international, nay, universal sport. We have learned to adopt and love many American and other foreign boxers not only because they are not competitors but because we appreciate their talent, skill, character and personality in and outside the ring, their influence and impact on sports and contribution to the advancement of a global society.

When Floyd retires, im sure all the those who hate him (i dont know if they're all pacfans) will gonna miss him. I dont like Floyd either but the boxing world needs him and i love boxing.

There are going to be people hating on Mayweather for the rest of his life, at least a lot of it will stop once Manny is proven not to be invincible. Then the fly by night fans will be gone, until the next fight that they create to beat Mayweather arises.

because, like the black guy who posted that video, there are a lot of them who are dedicated to discrediting Manny. Look up these channels on youtube, bloodboxing, and karceno, cpb23 and many more blacks. They will do anything to take away credit from Pacquiao.

And plus; Just look at 4:33 of your video. PACTARDS? Whats with the name calling? I thought we were the one who talked smack. You to accept reality that there will always be hardcore fans from opposing sides.

Edit: these video is from the same black guy who posted your video.

This guy is a total trip. I guess he's not used to people having their own mind. Floyd is and has always been a tremendous fighter. People try to say that he runs, he has not been asked to fight, if he ran the Referee would caution him ultimately disqualifying him for not fighting but running. This has never happened. Floyd set traps, baits his prey then makes them pay. Just because he tells you that he's gonna kick your azz before he kicks it isn't smack talk. It's just backing up what you say. Get use to it because it's about to happen again.
