Can you file for unemployment?

if you have to quit your job because your spouse is in the military and being stationed in another state

    It all depends on your state. When you quit, you must prove that you quit for "good cause." Good cause is generally unsafe working conditions, health damage, work-site dangers, or employers breach of contract. I'm not CERTAIN whether or not your being re-stationed with your spouse qualifies you... but all you should have to do is call the state's unemployment agency and ask them. That's the best and most efficient way to get an answer.

    Generally yes. That's one of the exceptions to the general rule that you cannot voluntarily quit and collect unemployment benefits. As long as he's being posted outside of the normal metro commuting area (not say from Dover AFB to Andrews AFB or Bolling AFB) you should be OK.
