Toyota Corolla trunk problem?

I own a 2003 Toyota Corolla. I went to open the trunk the other night and after I turned the key I could not budge the lock. It is stuck in the unlock position, but my trunk won't open. I tried to pull the lever inside the car to unlock it, but that doesn't work either. I'm not sure if I can get the back seats down without going through the trunk. Any suggestions?? I'd like to avoid the body shop if possible

The back seats should fold down to access the trunk, as for the key try pushing down while turning it to free up the lock. Once open spray it with grease not Wd40.
