Good books for a twelve year old girl?
Christmas is coming up, and my younger sister is starting to read a lot more.
And I need help finding good, wholesome books for her.
She is dyslexic, so she reads at a fourth graders level.
She is currently reading The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley series, and Double Trouble by Michal J. Pellowski. I am aware those are older books, but would appreciate if someone could suggest something like them, because they have captured her attention.
Please do not suggest Twilight, because she would have trouble reading it and I doubt she would like it.
Again, interesting and wholesome books are what I'm aiming for.
Thanks for the help!

The Babysitters Club was always my favorite growing up.
Have you considered something like Ella Enchanted? Or Beverly Cleary books -- Ramona the Pest, Ramona the Brave, etc.
Nancy Drew books are great, and if she likes MK&A adventure books, I think she will like those.
I heard the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar was wonderful.

What about some Roald Dahl books?
BFG, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Matilda are awesome.
They're easy to understand and they're my favorites when I was in Elementary school.

don't be so doubtful, twilight has a very simplistic form of writing, she might get it, it would be the obnoxious love story that would turn her off....anyhow. maybe look at the goosebumps series, or the book "Dead man in Indian creek"....also I was particularly fond of the magic tree house books and still am (even though I'm 19 XD) they're for younger kids I think (grades 1-3) but hey, they're enjoyable.
