  • Famous human muses and their affect on the artist?

Hello, I was just doing some research and would like to know if anyone has any information on muses and their affect of their artist.

Here's a list that you can add to:

    George Balanchine and Suzanne Farrell

    Charlie Chaplin and Hetty Kelly

Erik and Christine (from the Phantom of the Opera)

    William Morris and Jane Morris

John Ruskin and Rose La Touche (I know, an odd relationship, but muse-like nonetheless)

John Everett Millais and Effie Gray (also Sophy Gray)

Guido Contini and Claudia Nardi (from the musical "Nine")

    ...etc.

    Thanks in advance!

  • European/American Dual Citizenship?

Hello, I would like to know some minor details about European/American Dual citizenship. I know Italy doesn't have high taxes, and France protects people from the media (hence why many celebrities live there). I would like to know more about other European countries' policies.

I've had my eye on Belgium, so if anyone has any details, please inform me.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Why do I feel guilt after spending time with friends?

Basically, if I do something that inconveniences my family (if only slightly), I feel really guilty. I feel like I don't deserve it.

Money could be a factor, because it is rather tight.

Also, my dad's side has personality disorders (bipolar, psychopathy, etc.)

Do you have any idea what it could be? And how I can fix it?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Will Disney lend songs to certain events?

There is an event that is going to help women's health, and the singers would like to sing A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes from Cinderella. Will Disney allow them to sing it? If not for free, for a certain price? Is there any information on the Disney copyright?

    Thank you very much!

  • Workshops in Tucson, AZ Festival of Books?

Do I have to sign up for them? I know they are at the U of A, however I only found out about it today. I know they are free, but I'm not sure if I can just show up and take the workshop.

So, do I have to sign up for them?

And if so, is it too late?

Lastly, I am a high school student. Am I allowed to take the workshops?

  • Themes and ideas for a girl's 18th birthday?

My best friend is turning eighteen in ten days. She doesn't want a party, only wants to hang out and have fun.

She just got her license, so we where thinking about jumping in the car and grabbing something just for fun (and of course paying for it!) Other than getting her hair highlighted, we're stumped.

My mother suggested a princess theme (such as doing nails, hair, et cetera.) We also planned to watch Pocohantas (go Disney!)

And although she is turning legal age, I am not. So please make sure it is something we can both do together.

We could really use your help. Please supply ideas, themes, or anything else you can think of that would be really fun.

    No crude suggestions, please.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Opinion on my dream, please?

I'm going to dive right in.

My dream was long, some-what foggy, but I clearly remember this: I was pregnant.

So I'm standing on cement, in a long maroon dress, and the baby dies inside of me. I can feel it die.

I start to sob violently, this unbelievable sadness clutching my heart. Sitting down, my tears fall on the cement.

On a side note, I am not an emotional person. I have not felt such sorrow all my life. Tears have never felt more than just water, but these tears in my dream felt such pain, such sorrow.

A month goes by, and I'm sitting at a table at the house I have just moved from (very little house, more like an apartment.) A pregnant asian young woman is sitting across from me, and I start asking her questions about her baby, all the while crying.

I woke up after that, but I still feel like my heart is scattered.

I do not feel the need to be pregnant, believe me, I'm only a teen-aged girl, and have never dreamed about pregnancy. It's pretty freaky.

I would like to know your opinion, please.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Good books for a twelve year old girl?

Christmas is coming up, and my younger sister is starting to read a lot more.

And I need help finding good, wholesome books for her.

She is dyslexic, so she reads at a fourth graders level.

She is currently reading The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley series, and Double Trouble by Michal J. Pellowski. I am aware those are older books, but would appreciate if someone could suggest something like them, because they have captured her attention.

Please do not suggest Twilight, because she would have trouble reading it and I doubt she would like it.

Again, interesting and wholesome books are what I'm aiming for.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Good ideas for a 14 birthday?

My fourteenth birthday is coming up in 6 days, and I still don't have anything planned. There will be two girls, my best friend and her sister, coming. I don't really want to see a movie, or shop or bowl. So what else could I do with two teen aged girls? Please, remember I'm only fourteen (don't want any stripper answers, lol.)

If you have any other ideas, like food, decorations, theme, etc, that would be great.

I'm also home-schooled, (so are my friends) so time won't be a problem.

Thanks, my little darling answer people!

  • Weird dream involving dead kittens?

I would appreciate an serious answer, please.

My dream starts out with my family and my best friend in the car. We pull up to a grocery store, but walk to the side entrance. There is a little garden area (note, I've had dreams with this garden area before)

We see an orange tabby kitten and my younger sister scoops it up, cuddles it, and keeps on walking. I see a gray tabby cat sitting beside a wall, so I walk over stepping stones, and reach for it. Suddenly I'm seized with horror and look down. Dead kittens are buried in the ground, but only covered with rocks. I see fur and ears sticking out from under the rocks. I ran back to my best friend, who was standing just outside the garden. (I'm not sure whether or not I grabbed the gray tabby) I'm so upset in my dream, I'm nearly bursting into tears (I don't get as upset as that in reality). My best friend looks at me, but doesn't do anything. She seems sad about the kittens, but her eyes are saying "it happens" She doesn't comfort me, just stares somewhat sympathetically yet blankly. A hear a man's voice behind me, he sounds around 20 or so.

"Those three were the only three that survived," he says about the three remaining kittens. I don't turn around to look at him, but my best friend does. We continue to walk down the garden path, and meet my youngest sister at the edge.

"Can you get me the kitten?" she asks me, pointing to a grayish-brownish tabby kitten. I take a breath, knowing that I'm freaked out, and go back into the garden. I grasp the kitten and run back, where my sister takes the kitten and runs down the path. I glance at my best friend, and she looks at me. We say nothing as we walk down the path.

Could anyone tell me what they think it means? My younger sister had a dream about three kittens. Her dream took place in a rough neighborhood, but found happiness in the end. My took place in a beautiful garden, yet death lingered there.

I would really love your opinions and help.

  • Do I have the right? Do they?

So I want to lose weight (I'm almost thirteen and 119 pounds) I want to weigh 108. My whole family knows that.

I just ate dinner and spit out some chicken in the toilet because there was icky fat on it. Eww! I later got on the computer, and my little sister comes up to me and asks if I threw up. Then my mom asks if I threw up. No, I did not, and I told them that. And they sigh in relief.

Now I'm starting to get annoyed. They think I'm bulimic. Do I have the right to be kind of offended? And kind of ticked?

Then I mutter "and I needed to wash my hands, too" and my mom freaks out and asks what I said. I take a breathe (I barely talk, so it takes me a while to muster my voice to average volume) and my moms yells at me "WHAT did you say!?" I repeat my answer. And she sighs in relief again and walks away. I can hear her talking to my older siblings about me.

Now I feel really hurt. I'm disappointed in them. They can't trust me to take care of myself. What do I do? I feel kind of lost...

Sorry, it's kind of a vent, but I need to know if these feelings are normal. Thanks in advance!
