Ingredients
1 egg per slice of bread
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
Non-stick spray
3 cup of milk
Cinnamon
Maple syrup [or any other of your preference]
Step 1 Crack the eggs into a bowl, add milk, vanilla, and cinnamon and beat them with a fork or whisk.
Step 2 Set your stove to high heat and place your pan over the burner. Add non-stick spray or butter so that the bread will not stick to the pan.
Step 3 Coat a slice of the bread with the mixture on both sides, and then place the slice onto the pan.
Step 4 Turn the heat down to medium-low once the pan is heated sufficiently.
Step 5 Cook the toast until browned on both sides.
Step 6 Put the toast on a plate, and then serve immediately with syrup. Add hot apple sauce, cinnamon or powdered sugar for extra deliciousness and make sure to drink a glass of milk when needed.
Step 7 Repeat steps 3,5, and 6 with however many slices you want to make.
Hope that help :)

Use only very thick fat bread like Texas Toast. NOT the kind that is garlic and in the frozen food section LOL (my son wanted french toast, so i sent him to the store to get the texas toast and he came back with the frozen garlic version; what a nut)
No, this is fresh bread, I think put out by Butternut, sliced and about 1 inch thick
I don't know how much you'll be making, so here it is for 1-2 people
Beat like 3 eggs with a dash of water.
Have a large saute pan or griddle hot
Right before you begin, put some butter on the griddle and it will foam up fast. Don't let it burn.
you should rapidly dip your bread slice in the Egg bath, on both sides, put on top of butter on griddle. It will fry up fast. You need to wiggle it around so it doesn't stick, and flip over to brown on the other side.
When it's done spread some butter on top and/or
After it's done you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
I use Lazy Maple syrup as that's the one that I like.
I like to eat this with maple flavored fried bacon.
Sometimes i actually make this for dinner.

Grand marnier French toast
Ingredients
4 large eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon grated orange peel
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 3/4-inch-thick French bread slices
6 tablespoons butter
Super fine sugar
Warm maple syrup [preferably Grade B]
Method
Whisk first 6 ingredients to blend in medium bowl. Dip each bread slice into egg mixture and arrange in 13x9x2-inch glass baking dish. Pour remaining egg mixture evenly over bread. Let stand until egg mixture is absorbed, at least 20 minutes.
Place baking sheet in oven and preheat to 350°F. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 bread slices to skillet and sauté until cooked through and brown, about 3 minutes per side. Place on baking sheet in oven to keep warm. Repeat cooking with remaining 3 tablespoons butter and 4 bread slices. Transfer French toast to 4 plates. Sprinkle superfine sugar on top. Serve with maple syrup.
