Brothers and Sisters (JWs)- Do You Have Any Suggestions For.....?

... Bible-based games to play at a get-together?

Vot was appointed "game master" but this time I don't have any games I haven't taught them (or for some, reminded them about) already and I need something new. In the past we've had games like:

- Sticking names on people's foreheads and they have to guess using questions which Bible character "they" are

- Telling the person next to you one word that they have to use in a "presentation" to the person next to them, going round like that

- Writing down what first comes to their mind when they hear certain numbers (144,000; 2,520; 1:1; 83:18; 21: 3,4; 1931 etc) and afterwards comparing answers.

- Re-enacting famous Bible stories, and making up an outcome had the people involved made different choices (e.g had Cain controlled his jealousy, had Achan decided not to give into temptation and steal the loot from Jericho, etc)

Any suggestions for some new games? It's okay if they are variations of the ones mentioned above.

Also there is one we call "Bible Snakes & Ladders" which has various Bible questions, simple and deep, and none of the brothers and sisters have seen all the questions available (there's plenty) but it wouldn't hurt to add some more.

So any interesting question suggestions for that board game?

And thanks :)

Update:

Oh, and when I say "Vot taught them", I mean I showed them games I had learned from others ;)

Well, maybe except the one about "What does this number remind you of?"- that one was inspired by the JW Qs on Y!A ;)

Update 2:

Thanks vine and JW Guy- so far so interesting ideas :-D

A friend of mine who lives out of state recently had a get-together where they played a version of Family Feud. She polled a lot of people regarding Bible questions such as "Name an aspect of the fruitage of the spirit" or "Name a scripture you would share with someone who had recently lost a loved one in death" and then asked those same questions at the get-together.

She said it went over really well and was a lot of fun. I have her survey results and questions if you'd like them.

Here's a variation on the 'guessing Bible characters game' - the first one you mentioned:

    - Have individual participants come up and dip in a box for a folded up paper containing the name of a Bible character.

The participant then has to try his best to portray the character non-verbally so that others in the audience can guess who the character is.

    - You can also try having a Bible quiz.

    - Quote the words of a scripture and have persons tell you the Book, chapter and verse(s) in the Bible that you're quoting from.

    - A conversation stoppers game. A participant playing the role of a publisher tries a presentation with you (or someone else designated as a householder) using the current magazines or offer, and the householder objects on some ground. The participant then has to try to overcome the conversation stopper the best way they can. (Should be interesting, fun and at the same time prepares you for the ministry.)

Take each letter of the alphabet and take turns one at a time going in a circle remembering all the names in the Bible that start with that letter. Exhaust one letter and move to the next, A - Z.

We played the "concregation guessing game".

I imagine a person from our congregation, and the others must find out, who I am. They can ask questions, but I am only allowed to answer yes or no.

The same can be made with biblical persons.

    Maybe now not *on* the night time for household worship, however in concord with it . . . Suggest that the eight 12 months historic gather replica used copies of our magazines (as good as every other used e-newsletter not compatible to maintain in our library, now not always two copies of such, although). Go by way of those, & cautiously reduce out the photos & special Titles & subtitles, with an occasional designated paragraph or 2. Keep those in a dossier till a couple of were acquired, & then instruct him/her to stick (I use a everlasting glue stick) to scrub sheets of typing paper, organizing them in small corporations. Eventually, those sheets can both have pocket book holes puncheed in them, or, located into *sheet protectors*---in a pocket book. Thus, they may be able to placed in combination their 'possess' theocratic e-book to percentage with others! . . . I discovered that a relative of mine who could by no means seem at any of our courses earlier than, truthfully *appeared cautiously* at every web page of the pocket book that I made that means*---considering that I had custom-made quite a lot of constituents of our courses. . . Another advantage children will experience, is that they may be able to difference the seauence of the pages, &/and even regroup them in the event that they wish! (; IF you're later going to punch holes within the paper, take that under consideration while identifying wherein to attach the portraits & feedback, as you'll be able to wish to prevent hanging them too practically that facet! IF you place them into sheet protectors, you'll be able to placed two of them again-to-again to style one web page . . . The 6 12 months historic can support gather the used courses, probably even from others within the congregation, & probably support prefer which portraits to make use of --OR-- Could be aided to construct their OWN such pocket book! . . . Used research magazines made up ninety eight% of my eventual pocket book, as I could not convey myself to disect an unmarked, placeable magazine! I made sections approximately: the significance of prayer; the resurrection; private research; devoted servants in Bible occasions; the paradise in the world; production; etcetara . . . (;
