Is what Jesus preached, a mixture of Buddhism & Hinduism packaged in Judaism?

Again a question for open minded and research oriented people.

Considering the fact that so much is common with Buddhism and Hinduism (which is not so with Judaism) right from some of the rituals, phonetics, symbolic representation and also partially the highest knowledge (and the way it was proposed), is it possible that Jesus was influenced by these two philosophies which were influencing much of the world at that time ?

Only intelligent, thought provoking and well researched answers are appreciated.

What Jesus himself preached is quite different from what is preached about him now. Jesus was essentially an apocalyptic prophet, who preached about a coming "Kingdom" where all would be judged, the righteous rewarded, and the wicked punished. The way to do get on god's good side was to keep god's law, meaning, the law he gave to Moses. The reason the world was so screwed up, according to Jesus and all the other apocalyptic prophets of his time and right down to our own day, was that people were not keeping god's law properly and would be punished as a result. In a nutshell, that was Jesus' message.

I can't say that he was or wasn't influenced by other philosophies (apart from the obvious influence of the Old Testament and Jewish traditions), but there really wasn't anything terribly new about what he was saying. Lots of other apocalyptic prophets were saying that the end was near, repent, etc. etc., just as you see people saying it today.

Jesus himself said that he taught the word of God - he didn't do anything of his own accord or own thinking, which would include not being influenced by the teachings of other religions.

(John 8:28) . . .Therefore Jesus said: “When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.

Buddhism is based on the following - the Four Noble Truths, which can briefly be summarized as follows:

    (1) All existence is suffering. (see Jesus' teachings at Matthew 5 - nine reasons to be happy)

    (2) Suffering arises from desire or craving. ((John 15:18) . . .If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. This suffering wasn't because of a desire or craving that Jesus had - he said that those who would worship God in the right way would suffer because of it).

    (3) Cessation of desire means the end of suffering. (see also point 2)

    (4) Cessation of desire is achieved by following the Eightfold Path, controlling one’s conduct, thinking, and belief. (Jesus never taught that we weren't to desire things)

Hinduism also isn't anything like Jesus' teachings and he certainly didn't agree with their basic teachings as said by the following writer:

Indian writer A. Parthasarathy explains: “The Hindus are not polytheistic. Hinduism speaks of one God . . . The different gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon are mere representatives of the powers and functions of the one supreme God in the manifested world.”

Jesus clearly taught that there is only one God. (John 17:3) Jesus also condemned rituals in prayer (see Matthew 6).

The only thing that I can see that is in common is that there should be peace among all humankind, that is something that should naturally be a part of every person's life.

Hindus are involved in fighting sometimes and Buddhists just this year were involved in many deaths when they clashed with Muslims. Jesus and his true followers never got involved in anything like this, so there is no basis to say that he was influenced by these religions.

Actually almost all that Jesus taught was Jewish. 'Love thy neighbour' was a Jewish teaching long before Christianity adopted it and then attributed it to Jesus. The 'sermon on the mount' was just a repeat of an earlier speech by a Jewish sage.

    $=========== Women ===========$

Tabari IX:113 "Allah permits you to shut them in separate rooms and to beat them, but not severely. If they abstain, they have the right to food and clothing. Treat women well for they are like domestic animals and they possess nothing themselves. Allah has made the enjoyment of their bodies lawful in his Qur'an."

Tabari I:280 "Allah said, 'It is My obligation to make Eve bleed once every month as she made this tree bleed. I must also make Eve stupid, although I created her intelligent.' Because Allah afflicted Eve, all of the women of this world menstruate and are stupid."

Qur'an 24:34 "Force not your slave-girls to whoredom (prostitution) if they desire chastity, that you may seek enjoyment of this life. [And here's the freedom-to-pimp card:] But if anyone forces them, then after such compulsion, Allah is oft-forgiving."

Tabari VIII:97 "When I returned to Medina, the Prophet met me in the market and said, 'Give me the woman.' I said, 'Holy Prophet of Allah, I like her, and I have not uncovered her garment.' Muhammad said nothing to me until the next day. He again met me in the market and said, 'Salamah, give me the woman.' I said, 'Prophet, I have not uncovered her garment but she is yours.'"

Bukhari:V1B11N626 "The Prophet said, 'No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr. If they knew the reward they would come to (the mosque) even if they had to crawl. I decided to order a man to lead the prayer and then take a flame to burn all those who had not left their houses for the prayer, burning them alive inside their homes.'"
