TI-84 plus calculator help? Can't graph correctly?

I got this calculator for my math class as i take high school classes now. Now before, in a math program i'm in, i made two graph lines at one time. So tried to do it again but it is not working. Can someone tell me how to graph two lines at once on my calculator. I read before to change the slanted line at the y= editor but for my calculator,slanted lines don't show up,but rather triangles that look play buttons on a dvd player. Can someone help me?

    To graph two equations on a TI-84+ press the y= button in the top left.

    Type the equations into y1=, y2=, etc., making sure that the independent variable is X. For example:

    y1= x^2+2x-3

    y2 =2X^2-3x+4

    Hit the graph button, also on the top of the calculator. You should get a pair of axes, and, if you used the two equations above, two parabolas. If you don't:

    You may have something odd with your Graph format. Press the format button (2nd Zoom) and make sure your axes are on.

    More likely, the zoom window is not appropriate for the graph you are trying to view. You can either set the window manually in the window menu (press Window, set Xmin, Xmax, Ymin, Ymax), or you can let the calculator try to figure out the best window, by pressing the zoom button and going to "Zauto," or you can go to the standard window with "ZStandard"

    Hope this helps.
