What does it cost to change your license plate when you move to Texas?

Update:

I'm trying to find out approximately. Is it more than $200?

Update 2:

I am not moving, but my EX son in law has left Louisiana and we are wondering how much that move cost him when it was unnecessary and that he is not giving as much as the law says he has to, which should be a lot since he is a boat captain.

Update 3:

GRANNY--- IT IS VERY MUCH MY BUSINESS. He has left them with a huge house note that he says he doesn't care if he loses. So she is paying it. Now he has dropped the children's med ins and is already $3000 behind on support. WE ARE buying groceries and clothes for all 5 kids. They are living here because he had moved them 6 hours away in the MS country. They were lonesome and miserable. So, again, it is our business to see what he is doing and that he support these kids instead of us.

Update 4:

AND he has spent over $1500 on piercings and tats.

Call the DMV in the city where you'll be moving to for the correct answer. Also, it's best to find out how long you have to change your license plates, once you make the move. When I moved south, I had forty five days to make the change & that included getting a new driver's license.

The fines for not shifting the registration and drivers license might desire to be greater suitable than what you lose in GA plate costs. maximum States enable 30 days (or much less) to alter as quickly as you're working there or hire/very own.

Most counties are different as to the charge. You will also have to get a Texas drivers license and change your title.

Try Texas.gov But in all honesty its none of your business
