Male mice should be removed from the cage after the babies are born. This is not because the male will harm the babies; on the contrary, he will take on a large part of the childcare. However, he will begin to mate with the female immediately after birth.

You will need to take the male out, he will try to eat the babies. The babies need to stay with the mom for at least 3-4 weeks. Then you can find them new homes. Try a small animal rescue or take them to Petco if they have room on their adoption table.
