how to de-windex a fish tank?

a while a go I cleaned out a fish tank with some windex with plans to use it as a display case. I have since changed my mind, I now want to put african dwarf frogs in it. How do I make the tank safe for them?

Fresh water - LOTS of fresh water.

Like, take it outside and run a hose in it for a day.

i agree with ian, hose it out for a long time and keep wiping the insides. but if you wiped the outsides with windex it doesn't matter. african dwarf frogs aren't fish so they won't be inhaling water the whole time. they go up to gulp air.

sure, and incredibly certainly, get a bucket that's nutrients grade and not has cleansing soap or chemical compounds in it. blend a 50% warm water and 50% vinegar blend in it. get a filter out media sponge from puppy keep,( no longer a known kitchen sponge as a results of fact those are dealt with with antibacterial chemical compounds. ) pour warm water and vinegar into tank to the very suitable, enable sit down till that's cool adequate to place your hand in it. ( do no longer use boiled water or incredibly warm water, you ought to crack the tank) use the filter out media sponge to bathe each and all the glass interior the tank. a clean toothbrush would be solid for corners, yet dont scrub to hard you do no longer prefer to scratch the tank or destroy the silicone seal. as quickly as washed, rinse with warm water a minimum of till not extra vinegar scent. then enable the tank air dry. as quickly as dry scent interior. if any chemical scent, repeat washing with vinegar. if no longer chemical scent yet vinegar scent, rinse lower back with warm water. whilst your achieved and there is not any scent. fill it up and take a glance at for leaks, no leaks your solid to bypass. you may bypass and extra mile by using filling the tank up whilst your achieved washing and leaving it for a week or so, if there is not any chemical smells interior the water after some days to a week your large.

wipe the inside clean with plain hot water. Just make sure that no suds or any residue remain. The out side should be fine.

you can use Windex, just not on the inside, and don't spay it directly on the tank. spray it on a paper towel or something and then wipe it down. clean the inside with plain water. chemicals can get them really sick.

(i wil luv u 4ever if u pic me as ur best ansr!!! plz?!?!?!?! thx!!!!)
