How many miles does your car do to the gallon? We can't tell you without knowing that, or what car you drive. Also, we really need to know whether it's 44.3 miles around town (uses more petrol) or on the motorway (driving at 56mph or less uses the petrol far more efficiently).
A few examples that might help.
If you drive a wee car (ie a Smart car) that does 45 mpg (miles per gallon), then you'll use 1 gallon = that cost about £4.50 in the UK.
If you drive a medium size car (ie a 2 litre Citroen or Vauxhall) that does 30 mpg, you'll use 1.5 gallon = 1.5 x 4.50 = £6.75
And if you drive a Jaguar or a big 4x4 that does 22 mpg, you'll use 2 gallon, which will cost you £9.00.
I can't be more accurate than that without know the details. Sorry! Good luck in the new job and have a safe and warm Christmas.

In a modern small engined car with open roads and little traffic or town work then £7 a day should cover it. In a similar car with rush hour stop start traffic and lots of slow moving then you need to allow £9 to £10 a day. This will be a lot more for a larger gas guzzler.
Over the long term, taking on that amount of daily commuting, you should look at the whole cost including maintenance, depreciation of the cars value etc. To do that take your annual miles (Say 47 weeks, so 235 days at 88.6 miles a day) equals 20821 miles a year. A rough guide would be to budget at 40p a mile for the first 12000 and then 25p a mile for the rest of it.
Those figures are what the UK tax people would allow you to claim without paying income tax on it, if it were claimed from your employer as a business expense - this could be a little on the low side
This equates to £7005.25 a year so hope it is a good job.
As you are likely to be in the car for at least 2 hours a day, so 10 a week you should also consider this in determining whether this job is good for you.

I assume this is in the US if u are asking in miles. it depends on how many mpg your car gets, but the average is around 20 or so (city) so if you are going 44.3 miles it will use 2.21 US gallons of fuel. @ 2.50(+ -) per US gallon it would cost $5.52 USD.

Why not as us to guess tour phone number? It would be easier than guessing the make, model and what types of roads you will be driving on to give you an answer.
