Rental Fraud, Richmond, VA?
I took a house on monthly rental basis agreement with one month's deposit prior to moving into the house. The agreement (printed and signed documents) says that I owner would return the deposit after 1 month from moving out of the house. Its been more than a month now and he is acting to give the deposit back. How do I address this in the court ? Which court do I reach to ? How ?
Please help me.

"Small Claims Court" in Richmond is the Richmond General District Court. You can call the clerk of the Richmond GDC at 804-646-6461. You can ask them what to bring to file charges, but you will probably do better to go in person. (Their phone tree is horrible.) You don't need a lawyer, but you do need your rental agreement that hopefully states that you should get your money.
You stated "he is acting to give the deposit back." What do you mean by that?
Oh, make sure that your case is in Richmond, and not Henrico. If it is in Henrico, that number is 804-501-4727.
Good luck!
