pumped breast milk question need it answered before 10pm!?

i put it in the fridge right after i fed her.

Update:

so i do a "dream feed" for my baby and she doesnt do good on the breast when shes sleeping so i give her a bottle. last night i defrosted a few ounces and gave it to her with some fresh milk and she didnt eat it all. there is about 2 oz left. my question is can i mix that milk with what i pumped last night and give it to her tonight?

Update 2:

i feed so she wont wake up for the next feeding lol gives me a 6-8hr stretch

Update 3:

im not force feeding her! she eats at 7pm and 10pm would be the next feed but she sleeps through it. if i give her the breast she will only snack then wake up and be upset and i feed her so to avoid a problem i just do the bottle and shes fine. if she doesnt finish the bottle i dont shove it down her throat OBVIOUSLY

The best advice of experts is to discard any breast milk in the bottle that your baby does not finish at one feeding. This is why it is a good idea to put your pumped milk in small amounts in different bottles, to minimize the waste.

Milk that has been heated should be used within thirty minutes. If it has been defrosted but not heated, it can be used within 12 hours.

I would not use it now.

If defrosting milk and then child drank from the bottle. I recommend using it for the next feeding. If it is not used for the very next feeding then it should de discarded.

As soon as the baby puts her mouth on the bottle bacteria is introduced into the milk.

If she doesn't nurse long then that is okay - by giving her the bottle you are actually 'force feeding' her. She will wake to eat once she is hungry. If she only snacks for 5-10 minutes that is okay - she will wake again for another feeding once she is hungry and that feeding may be much longer.

Many people will say no. But I read an article a couple of years ago that said that researchers found that only a very small amount of bacteria is formed if you use leftover beast milk. And that amount is really not enough to sicken a child. And when you consider all the bacteria that is everywhere anyway then it really is fine to use the bottle again.

Although I would make sure I used up that milk at the next feeding just to be sure.

I would save breast milk not used for the next feeding all the time with my first child. Since I was exclusively pumping (my daughter wouldn't take the breast or formula) I had to use ever last drop. And she never got sick from drinking a little leftover milk.

I would say you can, I also did that with my child and she would drink it, but I would recommend to feed her from your breast and use the breast milk you pumped for when you go out so you can have an emergency bottle when you cant feed her. But for your question go head I the milk is still good for your daughter to drink.
