Less permanent than a perm but more long-lasting than styling?

Is there anything in the middle ground? I would like to do something different to my hair since it's been the same for the longest time. I have regular long brown hair (to the middle of my back), no layers or bangs. Suggestions?

My hair is usually really frizzy and curly/wavy. I usually don't straighten it since it takes absolutely forever!

Hi, I used to be a hairdresser and I would suggest layering it and cutting some of the length off. My grand daughter has hair like yours and I got 2 perms, and some very large rods and gave her a perm. What the perm does is redirect the hair into less tight and frizzy curls. It was fantastic!! Just be sure to use A LOT of waving lotion so that it covers all the hair. Also, keep your hair wet, that's very important. You do not want your hair to get dry as it is being rolled. Water first and then the waving lotion. You do not want your hair so wet it drips though...just wet. I put the waving solution on each section as I rolled it then, put the rest all over after I was through rolling it. JOSA
