Mailing a cake, need help!!!?

What's the best way to mail a single layer cake across the state? Do I use the United States Postal service or go with Fedex or UPS? What would you do?

If it is an unfrosted cake- while it's still warm- get a foodsaver and vacuum wrap it (this keeps it fresh) and mail it using any of the above companies. Be sure to put "FRAGILE" on the box!

If it is frosted- or you don't/can't vacuum wrap it, I would reccomend driving or using a private courier- you can search for a company in your state. It usually costs extra, but if it's frosted- the USPS, or others, aren't going to get it there in one piece.
