What if we, as Americans, made a movement to NOT purchase the federal healthcare? Why can't we have "socialized" medicine in the face of a "socialized" policy for medicare that costs money? The UK and Canada have "socialized" medicine and they get it for free; I would rather free than at cost. So, why don't we just refuse, in mass numbers, to deny the requirement for federal health care at cost?

Okay, I have a kid, and the first thing wrong with this whole idea is that hot dogs- like candy- aren't really that healthy anyways. So, why is the idea of "redesigning" hot dogs even put on the table? Besides, I really don't think Oscar Mayer is going to change an American past time to cater to children; it would just cost too much.

I say, that if you want to feed your kid hot dogs, like I do sometimes, cut the darn thing up and put it in their mac n' cheese like our parents did! Why are they suddenly wrong now- what do you think?

I love three certain tv shows... House, Dexter and Sons of Anarchy. Though the plot is great, I noticed something in common with all three shows- the matured women are used as tools of power to the rest of the cast; but then the character eventually always ends up insecure, damaged or hypersensitive. Why? Why does Dr. Cameron (House) have sensitivity issues; why can't she be a strong doctor? And in Dexter, Rita Morgan (Dexter's wife) is so insecure, she can't cope with his job- even though the job was there before she was. In Son's of Anarchy, Gemma is originally the strongest female member in the club, but in Season 3, she suddenly turned inwardly sheepish.

Can anyone, seriously, answer why this is? It seems the only "truly" strong women in TV occur on Lifetime- and then, it's so overpowering and fake, it's no longer interesting to watch.

By the way, I am not femenist- guys, I just would like to see one normally popular TV show with a single, effective woman! Thanks for the imput...

I don't like the FL custody laws because, being a military member, FL won't allow me to file until I am out of the service. So, I would like to file in IL because my son is my life and I know I will be able to provide a better home, but in FL, the system won't let me. Any legal advise? (Serious answers only- it's very important to me...)

My friend and I had a falling out about two weeks ago. She is the oncoming shift for my boyfriend and sometimes doesn't do her job very well (which screws up his shift). I told her that she just needs to realize how much she effects his job, but she took it personally. Now, she told everyone that he works with that we're together (and that's a bad thing- I work in a different part of the same company), so now I feel betrayed. She's a good friend, and I know when people get upset they do stupid things.

I really want to be friends with her agian, not to seem too desperate, but we really worked well together! Thanks in advance!

I want to buy an EVGA motherboard for my PC and it has an abbreviation in the name labled "FTW". I have searched for 2 days online and "For the Win" and "F*** the World" are not it. Can someone answer this before I have to call the service line? It's really buggin' me!

I accidentally spilled bleach on my boyfriend's clothes... I didn't realize until after I was folding them. They are a pair of black sweatpants (his fave's) and a black sharpie is too dark- he'll notice it. What else can I do (before he gets home and finds out!!!)

I have two situations that I have never been in before, and I don't know what the standards are:

One, I have a boyfriend I have been dating for about 6 months. We have a strong relationship (living together) and I am not quite sure what price range to stick to when buying his gift.

Two, some couple friends of ours are sharing Christmas dinner with us; me and my friend are both cooking at her house and I am not sure if it is proper to get her and her husband a gift. I am not sure if they are getting us one.

What should I do?

What is a special drink I can make for my son to celebrate New Years? He's on normal baby foods already- I just want something special that I can mix up for him!
