What If? A question about the new health care plan.?

What if we, as Americans, made a movement to NOT purchase the federal healthcare? Why can't we have "socialized" medicine in the face of a "socialized" policy for medicare that costs money? The UK and Canada have "socialized" medicine and they get it for free; I would rather free than at cost. So, why don't we just refuse, in mass numbers, to deny the requirement for federal health care at cost?

Update:

I guess what I mean by free, is they don't have to worry about purchasing a policy like we do. We still will have to pay monthly installments. You're right by the fact they pay for it in taxes, but that just proves me more: we already pay high taxes. I already pay for medicare, but I don't get emergency visits for free like the UK or Canada. I've lived in both places before and I have seen the care; it's not perfect, but it's not FKing them in the bum with "co-pays". Could you be more in depth?

There is no such thing as free health care. Canadians and Britons pay for it with taxes. Certainly, some pay nothing or very little of the cost of their care, but that is the case in this situation too, since more will get Medicare and most will get subsidies to help them pay for coverage.

You're free to refuse to buy the insurance and pay the tax. All that will do is increase government revenue. No skin of their nose.
