toddler proofing lever style door handle's?
ok we live in an apartment, thats set up to accomadate handicap people. the handles on all the doors are lever handles. and the door frame is metal. we have looked into many different types. but most of them go on the handle,which our daughter can reach...and the others have to be screwed into the door frame. which is metal so we cant. i will be talking to the people in charge of our apartment but i really need some ideas of what i can do. plz help she is into everything!!!!

They do now make safety latches to child proof them now. I saw them on ebay 2 days ago. I cannot remember the name etc but I did see them.

put a hook and eye closure or a slide lock (the kind they have on public restrooms) near the top of the door. They cost about a dollar at a hardware store and can be installed with only a couple of screws so they won't damage the door.

Stephani,Toys R Us sells latches that you can use on the door handles.This may be an option for you to help you out.
