Opinions on a few baby names? (boys and girls)?

I'm exactly 15 weeks pregnant today :D

So I'll be finding out the sex sometime next month. Yayy!

I'm hoping for a girl, but either way I'll be just as happy.. You know everyone secretly prefers a certain sex lol.

Anyway, here are a few names I came up with. Some are meaningful (as in they honor a family or friend) and some I just think sound nice. Opinions are greatly appreciated :]

Girls:

Kyla Christine --- Kyla has no meaning, I just like it. Christine is my mother's name.

Lillian Marie --- Both names have no meaning. Just sound nice.

McKenzie Christine -- Best friend's middle name, Mom's name.

Kalyssa Anne --- Kalyssa I found from an old name book.. Anne is a middle name in almost every generation. My middle name is Anne, My mom's is spelled Ann and my grandma's is spelled Anne.

Boys:

Tyler Michael --- Tyler I've always loved.. My husband's middle name is Michael

Billy (no middle name yet..) -- My husband's brother's name.. I'm not a big fan of it..

Micah Andrew -- My brother's middle name is Andrew. Micah is just a name I like.

Bentley Michael. --- Again, no meaning.. Except Michael. Which is up there ^^.

Thanks for any help. <3

Update:

Response to "PattyCake" -- Drew is my grandfather's name who passed away when i was 12, I can't believe I didn't think of that! lol when I saw you wrote that I was like :o!!

Congratulations! I hope you're doing well and I hope everything goes well for you, your family, your husband, and your new little baby.

You also have some great names up there! Its great that you are trying to honor important people in your life, I always smile when I see a new mother doing that.

    My Opinions:

    Girls:

Kyla Christine---8/10-I love the family connection, and both Kyla and Christine are great names. The only thing I don't like is the alliteration, the double kuh sound. Usually alliteration is fine, but its a bit annoying for me when one name is a C and the other is a K. Have you considered another middle name for Kyla, or perhaps Kyla Kristine?

Lillian Marie--10/10-I love classic names like this. Lillian Marie is my favorite out of all of your girl names. I love how it shortens to Lilly or Lillie, and Lillian itself is very nice. Marie seems generic, but I actually like it a lot. I think its a very pretty name, and this is the one I would chose. It's also very fashion-foward, all of the Lily-related names are getting popular, but not too trendy. Good choice!

McKenzie Christine--7/10- McKenzie is not really a favorite of mine, but its ok. I prefer the spelling MacKenzie, but the spelling is pretty much optional and up to you. Again, I like how you are using Christine, but the two kuh sounds sort of clash. Not very much though, so if the flow isn't that important then I say go for it.

Kalyssa Anne---5/10- I did some research on Kalyssa, and it is actually a legit name. But it sounds sort of made up, so I guess it depends on whether or not you're in to that. Kalyssa sounds quite pretty, and it sounds like my daughter's name Calista. Anne is a nice, sweet, simple middle that works for anything. Although the A at the end of Kalyssa and the A at the beginning of Anne sort of merge together, its fine if your only calling her by her first name.

    Boys:

Tyler Michael--10/10-My favorite out of your boy names. Tyler is a nice, masculine named that I have also always loved. I also like how it is familiar, but not too trendy. Michael is always a great name.

Billy---4/10-Eh, I agree with you. I'm not a big fan of it either. Its sort of cute in a vintage charm sort of way, but I don't think America is ready for another slew of Bill and Billy. If you change your mind, Billy Michael is a good option.

Micah Andrew-6/10- I love Andrew, and I like how Micah is related to Michael, but I just don't really love Micah. Something about it just reminds me of mold or something. Like lichen.

Bentley Michael-5/10- Again, I like Michael, but not so much Bentley. Its cute, but its a car. Not a name.

Hope I've helped, and good luck finding the perfect name.

  • Kyla Christine - I think it's really pretty and I reckon it will age quite well too.

Lillian Marie - It's a nice "grown up" alternative to Lilly although Marie is predictable.

McKenzie Christine - Not a fan of McKenzie especially on a girl but Christine is nice,

Kalyssa Anne - Never seen Kalyssa and it's very pretty. May I suggest you changed Anne to Ann as then it is alternating the spelling over the generations.

Tyler Michael - I love Tyler and Michael is a nice middle if not a little predictable.

Billy - I'd prefer it were a nickname for William as it's a little "childish" otherwise.

Micah Andrew - Micah is really nice and Andrew is too.

Bentley Michael - Not a fan of Bentley and I mentioned Michael earlier.

My favourites: Kyla Christine, Lillian Marie, Kalyssa Ann, Tyler Michael and Micah Andrew.

    Girls:

Kyla Christine--> Very cute Kyla is unique and Christine balances it out. Its a plus that it has meaning to you!

Lillian Marie--> Lillian is one of my favorite names... it is so cute! Although I don't really like common middle names especially Marie.

McKenzie Christine--> This name flows really well, but I'm just not a fan of the name McKenzie, MacKenzy, Mackenzie...etc.

Kalyssa Anne--> Kalyssa is very cute (Alyssa with a K!!) I like it. Anne is too common for me but it is cute.

    Boys:

Tyler Michael--> LOVE!! This is a really cute name! I've always loved Tyler too.

Billy (no middle name yet)--> I don't think any middle name is going to flow well with Billy. Maybe you could use Billy as a nickname for... William or some other name.

Micah Andrew--> This name flow really well! It sounds like a good aging name

Bentley Michael--> Usually I don't like names like Bentley but this one sounds really good!

    *Hope I Helped*

    Girls:

I dont like the sound of Kyla. Use Christine! It is lovely, nice meaning and your mum will love it!

Love Lillian Marie. Both are classy and cute.

Mackenzie no. It is a boys name.

How about Anna Christine? Or Christiana to really honour your mum. Or Hannah.?

    Boys:

Tyler will date and not age well. Love Michael, esp with it being your husbands middle name.

Billy is cute. why not use William though? Or Liam?

Micah?Boak. Andrew is great. How about Liam Andrew after the brothers?

    Bentley is cool. Unique.

    Hope I helped xx

I love Kyla Christine and Tyler Michael.

  • Bentley is my cats name so it sounds so funny to me as a baby name. It would be cute to have a kid named Ben with the full name of Bentley instead of Benjamin :)

I like Micah also but not with Andrew. It just doesn't flow. Maybe Micah Drew so that you don't have the "ah" and "an" right next to one another.

Kyla Christine is a beautiful name and your mother will be thrilled :)
