VLC and MP3 Files Need Help?
Why is that whenever I download a music file it automatically becomes VLC format...
It used to be MP3 format, how do I stop this from happening???

When you installed VLC media player you made it the default player for .mp3 formatted files.
To change teh default application that open a specific type of file (.mp3), open My Computer > Tools > Folder Options and select the File Types tab at the top of the window. Scroll down until see MP3 in the Registered File Type window. Highlight it by left click once then look lower at the Details for.. window. You will see "Opens With:" and a change button to the right. Left click the change button and select the application you want to open .mp3 file by default.

It's still an mp3. It's just now set to default open with VLC.
right click on a file and open it with your program of choice and save as "always use" on it.
VLC is just a media player.
