then an electric arc, (spark) occurs when the air is ionized and the current flows to a place where the electric potential is lower.

Static electricity is the collection of free electrons on an object. During the winter, you can collect them on your body by walking on a rug. When you touch a metal doorknob the extra electrons on your body flow into the doorknob. This is the mild shock you feel and it's called an electrostatic discharge.

Who is it that turned his back on you? Maybe the reasons are personal and not related to race.

Even if Spain conquered the Philippines for more than 300 years, I'm not seeing any hatred or any form of discrimination against hispanics here. For one, they brought Christianity (Catholicism) here.
