fun things to do in phoenix arizona?

my best friend is coming to Arizona from Hawaii and we are both 16. we want to take a trip to phoenix sometime next week and spend 2 days and one night and would love to go hiking. but im not really sure where we should stay or what we should do. i know some resorts require that you stay at least two nights so idk? any suggestions as to what fun things we could do?

    You don't say whether or not an adult is staying with you. Without being 21 or at the least 18 with a credit card, no reputable hotel will let you rent a room.
