I lost my cell phone, is there any way to find it although it's dead?

I lost it a couple days ago when I was watching tv, when it had died just an hour previously. I know I should have started charging it once it died, but I didn't. So I went to watch tv, then I stepped outside, where there was snow on the ground, then about an hour later it wasn't in my pocket where I had put it. I am afraid I might had dropped it in the snow. Is there ANY possible way to track it, even though it's dead? I looked for it EVERYWHERE, even outside where it had snowed at least three inches after discovering my phone had disappeared.PLEASE HELP ME! My phone's my lifeline!

contact your fone carrier (tmobile , verizon , at&t)
and tell them to track your phone . they will explain the rest
