How do you get snake bedding out of the snakes mouth while its shedding and stikes at you?

my baby red tail boa is in the process of shedding and when it was yawning to loosen the skin some bedding went into its mouth. I know from previous experience with him that you can't mess with him when hes shedding, he gets very defensive. I know how to take the bedding out it's just the process of getting him out of the cage and being able ot grab his neck without being struck at. Please Help

If you are right handed, put a glove on your left hand. If you are left handed put a glove on your right hand. Open his tank and put the hand that is wearing the glove down into the enclosure and let him bite it. When he does, use your free hand to hold him behind his head as you pull him off the glove. Now, you can remove the bedding from his mouth.

What kind of bedding are you using? Unless it's toxic (and shouldn't be used as bedding) then leave it alone. Nobody takes stuff out of their mouth in the wild. Even if he does ingest it, it should pass as long as he's not dehydrated

It probably won't do too much damage if you leave it, he'll find a way to get it out. But if it really bothers you wait until he is in a position where you can head pin him and then pull it out. There's really nothing else to do about it.

Try to pick him up and be gentle even if he strikes at you and he will calm down and just use tweezers, but if he is in a non toxic you could just leave it alone
