Oscar De La Hoya: "I have to wonder about Pacquiao"?
http://www.mlive.com/mayweather/index.ssf/2009/12/...
On his blgo at the Ring Magazine website, De La Hoya criticizes Pacquiao regarding the blood tests.
In his blog at Ring.tv, De La Hoya said Pacquiao avoiding the blood tests puts doubts on his career.
"If Pacquiao doesn’t want to do this and risk a possible $40 million payday because he’s afraid of needles or believes he’ll be weakened by blood tests, then that raises question marks," De La Hoya wrote. "The guy has tattoos everywhere; he’s tattooed from top to bottom. You’re telling me he’s afraid of needles?"
"Now I have to wonder about him," De La Hoya wrote. "I’m saying to myself, 'Wow. Those Mosley punches, those Vargas punches and those Pacquiao punches all felt the same.' I’m not saying yes or no (about whether Pacquiao might be taking performance-enhancing drugs); I’m just saying that now people have to wonder: Why doesn’t he want to do this? Why is it such a big deal.
"A lot of eyebrows have been raised. This is not good at all. C’mon. It’s only a little bit of blood. If you have nothing to hide, then do the test."
The Mayweather camp has not agreed to the dates of the testing that Bob Arum agreed to, acccording to the article.
Now as you all know, I feel that Manny's clean.
What are your thoughts on this?

I believe he is clean and will take the test on Mayweathers terms. Money will make you do thing you don't want to.

I think De la Hoya is full of ****!!! I don't remember him ever bringing up the steroid issue before the Mayweather camp did so. Like I have stated in the past, Manny and Mayweather were both the same size at the age of 16 when each started fighting weighing at 106 lbs. In his early fights, Manny had a difficult time making the weight, so obviously he was naturally bigger than 106 lbs back then. Now 15 to 16 years later, we could say that Mayweather is the bigger of the two, but I don't hear anyone accusing Mayweather of steroid use. Although I don't feel that Manny has to agree to the additional tests that even the Nevada Athletic Commission does not make mandatory. I hope that something is agreed on so Manny can go in and beat the hell out of Mayweather and shut his camp up. I think it's a low down move by the Mayweather camp to bring steroids into the conversation, but what else can we expect from a family of thieves, drug pushers, and/or assaulters.

Oscar De La Hoya has an obvious stake for the bout financially.l I dont consider him a true and respeted contributor for RIng Magazine given to the fact that he will always be a businessman first before being an analyst! I think the more Ring allow Oscar to write for them, the more the magazine's credibility is questioned.

I don't much care about boxing but sure wish MP would just take the tests and then smash "Money May's" face in for good. Mayweather is such an *** and bad for the sport that MP ending his carer would be just dandy. Then maybe Floyd Sr could get in the ring with MP? That would be so awesome!

Maybe Oscar wants to make people think Manny beat him because of drugs, since he got his rear end handed to him.
There is no reason to draw blood, a urine test is just as effective, this is just a game that Mayweather is playing, either to avoid the fight or to get more money or to make an excuse in case he gets beat.

De la hoya brought up some valid points. My whole problem with Manny is that first he's afraid of needles, then he wants to set up the times they can take the test, then he doesn't want to change his training schedule.
Knowing when they are taking samples would allow for him to cheat. HGH is not detected in urine, and it only stays in the blood for about 12 to 36 hours, so you can see why it would need to be random to ensure authenticity.
As for changing his training schedule, wasn't he swimming instead of running last camp? Wasn't he filming a movie last camp too? I've never heard of him doing that in previous camps.

I believe that De La Hoya is just trying to put doubts out there, pertaining to his bout with Pacquiao, i don't know, maybe he thinks some fools will believe what he says...
And of course he wants this fight to happen, he'll be getting a share from both Manny and Floyd, and imagine how much money that share will have....

Oh, Oscar, dear Oscar, are you sour-griping again? After that lousy beating you received from the Pacman you are now casting doubt on his integrity as a fighter? Your brain might have been pickled so much with the blood and jar of the Pacman's punches that you are now hallucinating? Come on, Oscar, are you the one salivating over the $40 M pay-off? Have the flighty Floyd Jr. and the more flighty Floyd Sr. have convinced you of their stupid viewpoints? Come on Oscar, you are better than that! Peace man and Merry Christmas.

De La Hoya was a great fighter, but sadly he has taken his loss against Manny personally and thus has sadly lost his decency and sanity ever since.

I didn't feel Pac is clean, and this latest news confirms my suspicions. Boxers don't criticize fellow boxers like this unless they darn sure know it. Manny began cycling on roids and/or using HGH just before the Della Hoya fight.
The reason why Pac has to refuse the tests is because he's already cycled on the juice and will fail the first one. The March 13 date was a ploy by Mayweather's team to force him to cycle on sooner, then ask for Olympic testing. Game, set, match. Mayweather wins without throwing a punch.
It aint easy being right, and my first yahoo account was deleted because of it.
