Possible to have a seizure and NOT be epileptic?
Lets say you have ONE seizure that occurs about a year after a previous head injury, is it possible to NOT be epileptic? Can someone have a seizure out of the blue and not be diagnosed and given medication? Has this happened to anyone you know....or yourself?

approximately one in five adults who lives to the average life expectancy will have one seizure at some point in their lifetime (cause possibly unknown and they don't have to have a seizure disorder) without having subsequent episodes.
but if you had a seizure, you need to go to teh doctor. A Neurologist, actually. They'll order tests, specifically an EEG (brain wave measurement procedure) in which electrodes (metal stickers with lots of wires hooked to them) will be glued to your head and sometimes chest to keep record of the heartbeat, and you just have to lie on a cot for about an hour and a half while following various instructions from the technician.
I had one a few months ago so I could participate in a clinical trial. The glue is super annoying to get out of hair, I had to do like five washes, but it's imperative that you find out if something's wrong.
It isn't uncomfortable and they let you take breaks to stretch, it's not bad, just pretty boring. They may also order blood tests, do an extensive physical evaluation and other things to explore all possible causes.
You can have a seizure without a siezure disorder, but seizures can cause brain damage, and it is very dangerous to have uncontrolled seizures. They need to check you out to figure out what's going on.

You must see a doctor to make sure everything is ok!
Yes head injuries can but not always cause 'post traumatic epilepsy', especially if skull was fractured or blood clot of bleeding in brain!
Scar tissue can sometimes be surgically removed but not always.
There are other causes for seizures such as diabetes which is not a primary brain condition like epilepsy.
Do remember internet is not a substitute or replacement for a real doctor with the qualifications and tools!
But yes you need to see a doctor, seizures can be dangerous and untreated could cause disabling brain damage or worse. You could choke on vomit after seizure or fall and injure yourself!

Of course it can.
When my brother was little he had a seizure before.
He had it due to a high fever he was running.
And I was watching a movie where a little girl had a seizure from hitting her head on the pavement.

Ya it's possible. My friend in school would have seizures when she ran too fast and for too long. U don't have to be epileptic.
