Is controlling one's anger any means of suppressing one's true feelings/emotions?

Update:

i think so. if you're angry, you should feel it then move on.

No because they are two different things. Bottling your emotions means that you're denying your feelings and making them worse; controlling your anger is managing your emotions correctly so you don't bottle up or hurt someone.

your anger remains anyway, and is to come out one way or another. so the issue is to notice it (suppressing means denial, not noticing), and to give way to it. usually it´s not useful to let it out uncontrolled, so to let your fellow men feel attacked and risk a reaction. but: you have to find a convenient way for you to express your anger.

Anger has to come out (when you donot want to feel depressive).

But learn how to let it out correctly .

take your anger(energy) and use it in constructive manner such as helping poors and homeless people. Or engage in intellectual, creative or athletic activities.
