I want to pierce my tragus...?
Like really badly!
But this girl told me that after she got her's pierced a piece of her ear fell off... so it made me a little wiry about it.
I have researched it and it seems pretty harmless to me, like any other piercing.
If you have yours pierced hows your experience been with it, and is there a lot of pain involved?
And will a part of my ear fall off!?
Lol, sounds dramatic but that's what she said, so im just wondering.
Thanks!

Pain varies with people but really its not so bad. The sound is kinda gross...lol
The only real concern would be bleeding. Some people bleed and you dont want that blood getting into your ear. So when you have it pierced just have the piercer put a cotton ball in your ear...if you tell them you're a bleeder they'll do it anyways but just in case they dont, just request it.
A piece of your ear wont fall off, and its real easy to take care of.
So go for it! Get it pierced! Wicked cute piercing = )

No, part of your ear will not fall off. There is a higher chance of infection, and infection can be more dangerous because of the low blood flow. Also if infection is neglected, it can spread through the layers of cartilage (ear cartilage is layered like a cracker) and cause cartilage collapse.
But honestly, as long as you have it done professionally (no guns and do NOT do it yourself), care for it properly, and do not grossly neglect and infection that might occur, the piercing will be perfectly fine.

As long as you go get it done by a professional it is very very unlikely that anything of that nature will happen to your ear.
