How to use water conditioner for new fish tank?
I just don't know. Do I put it in the tank as soon as I start the tank up, and then do my weekley water changes? Do I need it every time I change my water? Help!
Thanks! If you need more info. just tell me and I'll add some extra thoughts.

You need to add it to your tank when you first fill it up and then also to any new water you add during small weekly water changes. Basically you add the required amount to any water you put in your tank.

For the first time I put in water in a brand new tank, I put plain tap water in and then condition it, this kills anything nasty that might be in there. For my weekly water changes though I put the water in buckets, then put the water conditioner in the water in the buckets, and then put that water in the tank. I always make sure to treat any water I want to add to the aquarium before I put it in the tank once the aquarium is running, because it could harm the beneficial bacteria in the time between when I put the water in the aquarium and when I add the dechlorinator, short as that time is.

if you are starting a tank you want to cycle it before putting fish in it, just wanted to through that out there. when conditioning the rule is use it when ever you add or change water. so yes when you start the tank you will want to use it along with a bacteria supplement, ammonia nuetralizer, ph balance, and aquarium salt. if you do decide to do a weekly water change add it to the new water either before or right as you add it to the aquarium.

I put mine in the tank when I haven't had time to let tap water condition overnight. I just follow the instructions on my bottle of conditioner. If I were you i would use it when you start your tank just to be safe, and then use it when you change the water if the water hasn't set out overnight
Good Luck!

Use it anytime you add new water to the tank - when you're starting it up, when you're doing water changes and when you top-off due to evaporation.

i use it every time i change my water.
it gets rid of the toxins in the new water you are adding.
stir it in, wait 30 seconds, ant the water should be treated.
