As far as Manga goes I really enjoyed Death Note, Claymore, and Gakuen Alice. I think all three are better in Manga form than in their anime form, if only because the plot had more room for the plot to grow as compared to their anime.

Looking for a good anime, any genre besides ecchi/hentai. Preferably some that have come out within the past 10 years or so, but older ones welcome as well.

Either general fantasy, scifi, or other genres that have strong aspects of fantasy or scifi in them and are completed with endings.

I don't want there to be a lot of ecchi in it, so please don't recommend things like Rosario + Vampire and Dance in the Vampire Bund. Any other genre is okay, from horror to comedy etc, as long as vampires play a big role in the series.

If possible, I'd like one where the couple feels compatible rather than always being at odds with each other and an anime that has finished running.

I do NOT want ones where one of the couple is really mean to the other (e.g. Toradora, Familiar of Zero).

Something like:

Lovely Complex, His and Her Circumstances, Kamisama Kiss, Kimi ni Todoke, Skip Beat, Vampire Knight, Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light, Magical Chocolate, etc. would be nice.

Can anyone recommend some good ones, preferably that are finished? Horror, action, comedy, shoujo, etc. are all fine as long as it is about vampires. The exception is ecchi, if it has lots of ecchi I'm not interested.

I'm looking for a good fantasy with in depth world building along the lines of 12 Kingdoms, Seirei no Moribito, Vision of Escaflowne, Beast Player Erin, or Break Blade.

I'm not really looking for Shonen anime like Full Metal Alchemist or One Piece. Although, if you can't help but suggest those, at least suggest those and then some from the other category I asked for, and separate them so I know which is which. ;)

Hard to categorize, but really love:

The outdoor deck/balcony just built was accidentally stained, not only with indoor stain, but also with the color black walnut, when we wanted a much lighter color. As I understand it, since the stain goes deep into the wood, we can't sand it out. Is there any way we can still get the wood to look like wood with a light stain, or is the mistake irreparable?

I have a 75 gallon tank that I'd like to eventually put all of those fish in.

I was thinking 10 Neon Tetras, 10 Harlequin Rasboras, 8 Panda Cories, and 10 Marble Hatchetfish.

I have an established 10 gallon tank with one Betta who has been in it for almost a year. He is quite mild tempered, and goes well with other fish. I've been looking for some community fish to put in with him, and have found that the Harlequin Rasbora species would be a great choice, not only temperament wise, but also because their water, temp, etc. requirements are practically identical.

My only problem is that these are schooling fish. From what I've researched so far, I'm hearing that there should be a minimum of 6 or 8 (I'm hearing mixed reviews on the exact number, so if you have an opinion on that I'd like to hear it). However, I'm concerned that 6-8 Harlequin Rasboras and 1 Betta (male, by the way) would be overstocking the 10 gallon.

Basically, I'm interested in knowing what you consider the minimum number of Harlequin Rasboras to keep together are, if I can fit that number in with the Betta without overstocking, and also if anyone has experiences they could share about keeping Bettas and Harlequin Rasboras together.

I've been dating my boyfriend for about a year and a half, and he's a real sucker for sentimentality. He absolutely loves doing things for Valentines, but this year neither of us have the money to go out to eat at an expensive restaurant, so we were thinking of doing something at home. We already plan on getting lots of chocolate and a candle lit dinner, what else can I do to make the evening special?

(And please, no sexual suggestions please).

I have curly/wavy, fine hair, and want to think of something cute that works with my natural hair, that is easy enough for me to do with few tools on hand.

I have had poor luck with my Platties. I'm fairly certain that it is because they have too much protein in a diet meant for a Betta, which I also have in the 10 gallon tank. Its all I can think of, because the temperature, water parameters, and everything else is perfect and they aren't showing signs of any common diseases. For the past 3 days, I've been scooping my Betta up for feeding time in the little cup I got him in, feeding him, and putting him back within 5 minutes. He has already gotten to where he swims into the cup as soon as he sees it, for his food. Meanwhile, I feed the Platties some tropical flakes, and put him in when everyone is done eating. Is this okay, or will it be harmful to my Betta fish to continue this? He's never out of the water, or captured by a net.
