Buying a laptop at Best Buy? Under $600?

I am looking to buy my wife a laptop at Best Buy on Monday. She will use it for email, pictures, and just internet browsing. Nothing too much, like games or editing of any sort.

Can anyone tell me what would be my best bet for now? I have been looking at ASUS, ACER, and TOSHIBA brands at the moment. I have had good sucess with those brands, but not sure what would be the best deal right now.

Not sure if Best Buy does any bargaining. I did look at Consumer Reports as well as Cnet Reviews.

Thanks for your help.

Get a laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo.*** Don't get a laptop with less than 3GB ram. The bigger, the better. I like Toshiba, Acer, and HP. I don't know anything about Asus. My bf has an Acer and it's good. Never had experience with HP, but seems like a good brand. I seriously just bought a Toshiba laptop yesterday at Best Buys. This is the one I bought: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Laptop+with+...

The first laptop I showed you is similar to mine, just less specifications. Be prepared to pay just a little over $600.

ACER are Alright. Except a Minor fault is that the Touch pad breaks.

    Toshiba are Nice

    And asus.
