You could have had her spayed and the puppies would have been removed.

None the less she is having puppies and you need some reassurance.

They can have a white/greyish slime throughout pregnancy, it is quite normal.

Slime is not an indication of imminent whelping.

The signs of whelping are restlessness, scratching, a drop in temperature and even vomiting/diahorreah.

The best way you can know for sure is to take her to a vets, they can give you a pretty

good guideline by taking an xray or doing an ultrasound.

They will also take her temperature and give you good advise on whelping and when to contact them if she gets in trouble.

http://www.hilltopanimalhospital.com/whelping1.htm It's a start for you but you'll need to read a lot more on making sure mom and pups stay healthy.

    http://www.labbies.com/reproduction3.htm Complications to look for.

Honestly, I wouldn't sleep until the pups arrived unless someone else could take over my watch and even then I'd only take a nap. There's no telling exactly when the pups may arrive, even if you knew the breeding dates. My guess is she's starting early labor, which can take hours, and you might as well just sit up with her unless you've got someone to watch her. Call the vet and let them know just in case something goes wrong. If no vet has an emergency number, locate the closest emergency vet and let them know so they can be prepared should you need them. After they've arrived, take the whole family to the vet within 24 hours for a check up. The vet will make sure the pups are healthy and check mom to be sure she's really done whelping. Don't let anyone but the vet handle or even see the pups. You don't want anyone possibly infecting them with something.

BTW - If you've seen no change in her by tomorrow morning, take her to the vet for a check up and x-ray. That will tell you if she's really ready and how many pups there are plus if she can naturally whelp them. It really should have been done already, especially if you have no clue what the sire is.

Please, take your canines into the Vet and enable her have her puppies there or enable them to do a C-section in simple terms to get it over with. You needless to say comprehend honestly nada approximately whelping of puppies and if your woman have been given into hassle you does not comprehend it till she or the puppies died. do not hazard your woman from now on, take her to the Vet and admit to them you do not comprehend something approximately 'birthin' no toddlers'....... Please, bypass away this to the pros and have your woman spayed. She won't be able to bypass by this each 6 months or so and you have not have been given adequate training on the duplicate of canines to keep away from it. further: maximum Vets do have an answering provider and likewise, maximum do open at 8 AM so call the answering provider and enable them to comprehend which you have a woman in hard artwork and hassle and which you will meet the Vet on the sanatorium. Then placed her in the motor vehicle and head on your Vets' sanatorium. many times there are human beings there before establishing time as they could have a tendency to the animals that have been saved in one day.

What kind of dog is she? Some dogs require c-sections. Boston Terrier, French bulldog, and English Bulldog ( just to name a few) I know a breeder that has Great Danes and some of them have had to have sections. I would watch. My boston that had to have a section actually had a dark green bubble come out and that when I knew she was ready for her section. Not all of the breeds that I listed above have sections. Breeders who don't care about their dogs allow them just to have them on their own but it's very hard on them. It can take a while before the pups come. But listen to your gut and if you have to call your emergency vet and have the section if necessary, the vet may even help you deliver them if you call and ask. Good luck on your babies!!!

She will begin to scratch and pant a lot, her water may break also. The slim comes out throughout the pregnancy. It could last a while or just a couple of hours. I had a litter that took only 6 hrs and one that lasted 12 hrs. While you have time, do a lot of research on the internet and read all of the things that could go wrong and what to do and look for. have fun.

Try to get the house quiet. Noise will disturb her. If she is a large head dog, or the father was large head dog you are going to need a vet in order to know if she can deliver the pups or they could get stuck in there and kill her.

After deliver, keep the house quiet as possible so she will not tense up for fear of someone going to take her pups and cause her milk to dry up.
