I've got a green cheeked conure...?

Right, I've had this Conure -chichi- for about 3 years now but my sister's the only one who can handle him properly and I feel a bit left out :( so does anyone have any tips on how I can handle him? Bcoz he always tries to bite me :( Plz help! :)

    Since he's been your sister's companion bird for so long, he probably only trusts her. So, you'll have to take it slow. Start by spending more time around the cage, talking softly to him from afar. Gradually get closer to the cage. Hopefully he's getting more used to your presence. THen start sitting by the cage talking to him, see how he acts. Then you can see how he reacts to you having your hand IN the cage, just sitting there. THen, when you feel safe, you could try getting him to step up on your arm or onto a perch.

    The key is patience. He has to develop trust in you; this could take a while.

    just play with him and try to stroke him through the cage then give him some space -can be territorial- and over time he should get used to you =] xx -but you need patience =]x
