Suggestions for bottle nipples for an exclusively breastfed baby?
My baby will be starting daycare soon and I plan to express milk for her. Both me and my husband have tried giving her breastmilk from the Madela bottles that came with the pump but so far it has been a disaster. Baby just REFUSES. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly helpful, but I would specifically really appreciate advice on what kind of bottles and nipples I should get for baby so that she accepts bottle.
Thank you for help.
Baby will be 7 months soon. How I wish I had thought of thsi earlier and gotten her used to bottles!!

I never tried to give my daughter a bottle until she was 7 months also. She didn't take to the silicone (clear colored) nipples at all. What worked for us were the Playtex latex (yellow-orange colored) nipples. They are a very natural shape because they are wide, and are very soft. Silicone nipples are much harder to the touch than latex. The latex will also transmit more of the warmth of the milk than the silicone nipples do (meaning the nipple will feel warmer & softer rather than a cold plastic thing you're putting in her mouth). We liked the playtex drop-ins and playtex ventaire wide neck bottles best.

you have to hide and be out of sight and sound and let him feed her. IF she can sense you in the room she will want the breast. Platex has a really natural nipple that goes with the drop in bottles. It says it in the label that is like a natural nipple....Good Luck

well honey good luck. my little guy has refused bottles since he was six weeks. we tried so many but the one we had just a bit of luck with was the nuk (not the latex one the other material). have daddy give the bottles at first because if baby feels and smells you, she will be expecting the breast! good luck!

My baby is also just breastfed, she is 5 months old and we just recently introduced a bottle to her. We use the silicone nipples for the play-tex Vent-aire bottles. My baby takes them really well. This is what they look like....

I would go with Avent or Dr. Brown
Avent's nipples are very similar to the real thing, so she may like them :)
