durability of privacy film on bathroom windows?

How well do they hold up on a window that is directly in the shower? Will I need to use an adhesive?

I'm looking at using one of these

I bought some from zellers. our window is in the shower as well. It is up high enough that it only gets splash off water, not directly from the shower. anyways, the vinyl is self adhesive. bit of a pain to put on--I used a plastic putty knife to push out the air bubbles. My boys have piping hot showers & I was concerned that it would peel off from the humidity but it is stuck to stay.

Clean the glass well and then clean with 91% isopropyl alcohol(next to rubbing alcohol). Apply your window film according to directions and the run a bead of 100% clear silicone along the edges. Let cure 48 hours before getting it wet.

you would be better off painting it with an oil base paint,

    use a satin paint
