is this a sign of heart attack? chest pain,more like pressure kind of pain then,?

I suffer from Gastric reflux and have had the same pains spreading up my arm (left) to my neck. I have been admitted to hospital twice and they finally found it was spasm of the coronary arteries caused by inflammation of the area around the oesophagus caused by heartburn. To be on the safe side you should go to A&E for an ECG to be absolutely sure. I will say if it is a heart attack it will not just ease and then come back again, the pain stays there and you will get sweating and dizziness.

It could be heart burn or Oesophageal spasm which can cause crushing central retrosternal pain. Oesophageal pain can be felt in the chest, throat or epigastrium and can radiate to the neck, back or upper arms- just like cardiac pain. Best thing to do is see your GP. I don't know enough about you to say it's not cardiac related.

You might also feel sick and often people report a feeling of impending gloom. Basically, any chest pain that persists for longer than 15-30 minutes should be evaluated.

Are you getting any other pains, in the upper arms , are your fingers numb or tingling ?

If so its ambulance time and take some aspirin , if not dont worry but see your doctor for a check up when its convenient

Not that I know of, because heart attacks occur very quickly.
