What r the chances of getting pregnant 11 days after have a baby via c-section?

This question has been asked before, and I just needed to ask myself.

I had a baby on dec 14th, 09. I had sex with my husband 11 days later unprotected. I pump for my son a couple times a day. I am still bleeding lochia.

What r my chances of getting pregnant again? I am happy with my 2 sons and rather not have another baby. I'm only 26, so I have a couple more years to think about another child IF I wanted one.

Update:

Could I go get my depo shot and will those hormones stop me from getting pregnant? Or another birth control that takes affect immed? Plan b maybe?

Quite high actually. While breast milk does act as the body's natural defense against pregnancy, having sex before the 6 week checkup is not recommended, since a woman is extremely fertile during that period. Several follicles are ready for fertilization, instead of just one, like during your regular cycles. There's no way to put a percentage amount on it.

Pretty good chance, i'd say. You're EXTREMELY fertile 6 weeks after you have a baby, hence why your doctor/nurses should have warned you to not have unprotected sex for at least 6 weeks. You also need that time to heal if you deliver vaginally, but they still should have pointed this out to you. Lochia? No idea what you're talking about. Go to your doctor in a couple weeks for a test since your period will take awhile to regulate since you JUST had a baby not even 2 weeks ago. If you aren't pregnant, have safe sex for awhile unless you want another baby. If you are pregnant, please own up to your responsibility.

  • You should always use protection after having a baby. Just because you're bleeding, doesn't mean you're not ovulating. A friend of mine got pregnant a week after giving birth to her second child so it's quite possible. Not all women will ovulate and become fertile so soon though, so I would just wait 3 weeks and take a test just to be sure.

I in basic terms choose to furnish you a understand suggestion from my own journey. After your first newborn you're very very fertile for an prolonged time. My daughter is two.5 now...and that i'm 9 months pregnant. In Sept...became the 1st time me and my husband had unprotected intercourse as quickly as we had our daughter she became very very nearly 2 on the time...and that i've got been given pregnant in basic terms from that one time. So i does not probability it...attempt to tweak the beginning administration so which you will locate the bright one. additionally i comprehend extra effective than 5 women people who breast fed and became pregnant at their 6 week verify up.

Your chances are much greater after giving birth than ever. Take a test when the time comes.
