Got a minute? please help, name wanted..?
Hi,
I'm writing on a novel and I need a beautiful/unusual name for the lead.
She's beautiful in a very natural way, mexican looking, and she's had a tough childhood. her mother kills herself and this girl is all alone and won't take help from anybody.
If any of you have a good female name stored I'd be glad to hear it.
thanks for your time.

Tanya. I myself have always associated this name with Spanish, but it actually isn't (I think it's a shortened form/ variation of the *African-American?* name Latonya that was moderately popular for a while). When in this variant form, it sounds a little choppy and suggests a toughness of the person who has it. The way the name uses the "-nya" pronunciation gives it a little bit of an exotic air, I think. Happy Writing!

A few names I can come up with are: Annelise, Daniella, Viridian, and Bernadette. Of these four, I'm torn between Annelise and Viridian. Or, it could be Marissette. Hope these help!
